Pool Professionals of the Piedmont hiring Director of Staff

Pool Professionals is North Carolina’s leading provider of swimming pool management, repairs and renovation. Pool Professionals of the Piedmont, LLC has an opening for a highly motivated, hardworking, charismatic and talented employee to manage the on-site pool operations of our lifeguarded facilities.

Education and Experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work and educational experience in related field with at least five (5) years of experience in the lifeguard and water safety field.
• Certifications required: American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer. LGI, CPO, or equivalent (may be obtained within 6 months after hire date).

Responsibilities:

The Director of Staff will report directly to the President. Under the guidance of the President this position will be responsible for the staffing, organization of employee files and records for approximately 20 or more individual staff pool locations and 125-175 lifeguards. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• All lifeguards caring for these locations must be properly trained in the operation of the facilities. This includes training in proper cleaning, pump procedures, chemical procedures, membership requirements and rules enforcement.
• All on-site pool managers must be trained in the proper procedures for the management of all lifeguards. This includes scheduling, job assignments and proper facility maintenance.
• The daily supervision, encouragement and discipline of the pool staff. This includes completion of weekly inspections, discipline reports and incentives.
• The scheduling of lifeguards for all the pool sites. This includes the contacting and scheduling of substitute lifeguards when required.
• Assist in the training, scheduling and management the company. Other duties to be assigned as necessary.
