Interns

What do we do in the winter? The entire Pool Professionals team stays busy year-round preparing for the next successful summer season.

From winterizing pools to repairing, renovating, or even building new pools there is plenty of work to go around. During the off season, the Staff Division focuses on recruiting, hiring, and training over 600 lifeguards, attendants, and managers.

If you are a high school senior that is interested in business management or marketing and have at least 25 hours a week to devote, you are a good candidate for a Pool Professionals Internship.

Likewise, if you are a college student in the Raleigh-Durham or Greensboro area with a major in Business, Marketing, Aquatic Management, Human Resources, Public Relations, Parks, Recreation, and/or Tourism, or just have a genuine interest in how the aquatics industry works, then you would also be a great candidate for an internship at Pool Professionals. You must also be able to work at least 25 hours a week.

What You Will Do

Since such a huge part of our business is dependent on our staff, we focus almost all of our attention on recruiting and hiring over 600 lifeguards and attendants.

We need someone who can implement new marketing and recruiting strategies to reach out to all the high school and college students in the area.

You will be in charge of finding and hiring at least 250 new lifeguards for the upcoming season, as well as contacting our returning staff. You will also accompany the staff division team to career fairs and high schools, and help with the administrative management of the hiring process.

After we find staff we have to train them. You may also be asked to provide assistance with those programs as well.

Compensation

This will be a paid internship based on your success. More detailed information will be provided during the interview and application process.

If you are interested in applying to Pool Professionals internship program in any of our locations, fill out the Job Application and select ‘Intern’ in the drop down menu.

If you posses these qualities or are willing to take the time needed to gain these skills and qualifications and want to apply for one of these positions, visit the Apply Online page!
